Dave Simonetti
Missions Pastor
The Beard of Knowledge,
At least that's the title I received after creating some online training resources a few years ago at a company worked for. I was asked to leave field work and support the business in a different way. I suppose that’s when I discovered that God allowed a few eureka moments to shape the leader I am today. Those moments have created core memories which have laid the foundation for his calling in my life.
The environment doesn't matter. Not the place we live, but where we interact and learn from each other. I have recognized I am passionate about educating individuals in a way that fosters growth through the lens of self-discovery.
What does that mean? Imagine you are on a path in the woods with a friend. You've hidden a gift along with clues to aid them on the way. Now, you watch eagerly as they decipher each one and uncover the prize. Sound unconventional? To some maybe, but I believe that when followers of Jesus Christ continually evolve their approach to culture without comprising the Gospel they thrive.
That's my method. This is what I live and breathe for. I desire to see followers of Christ recognize their God given abilities and realize that what He has given them far exceeds what they thought was possible. We serve a God who can do far more than we can ask or imagine. My mission is to be a spark that ignites a flame in others for people and produce the greatest harvest the earth has ever witnessed.
What else is there? There is the family God has blessed me with. My caring and supportive wife Katie, and my wildly energetic son Micah. God’s love and kindness has been more than evident in his life, and we are truly grateful for this gift. Additionally, Katie and I welcome time spent in the kitchen cooking and serving people from different walks of life. Whether they are family, friends, or anyone else, our door will always be open, and our table will always have a seat. We agree that if you’re going to reach the nations, it’s probably best to start with a good meal.
