Vision and Purpose
Our vision is to be a presence-driven worship team – we seek to honor and be aware of God’s presence. Whether we are on the platform or in rehearsal, practicing on our own or participating in a worship service, our team desires to be used by God to point others to Christ.
That vision fuels our purpose: to humbly lead God’s people with excellence in authentic worship as a corporate body. Everything that we do (the band, the tech team, and the choir) is geared toward creating an atmosphere that helps God’s people to worship Him effectively. That means that we work hard to eliminate distractions, and we prepare our own hearts and minds in order to lead God’s people the way He wants them to be led.
We believe that God has incredible plans for this ministry, and we are always looking for new team members to join us! Check out the different teams within our worship ministry below, and let us know if you are interested in getting more information!
Worship Band
This team leads the music portion of our worship services each week. Band members go through an audition process (don’t worry, it’s painless!), and have an interview with our worship pastor before they join our team. The worship band usually meets once a week for team rehearsal, but right now with COVID-19 altering our typical model, we participate in a weekly zoom call to connect, pray with each other, and do a devotional study together.
We are looking for the following positions to be filled in our worship band: bass guitar, acoustic guitar, drums, keyboard, vocalist(s). If you play another instrument, that’s okay too! Click here to get in touch with Pastor Hannah for more information about our worship band.
Tech Team
This team handles all things production and technology for our services. Sound system, lighting, computers, and broadcasting to our online viewers are all important parts of the tech team’s responsibilities. Our tech team is a vital part of our worship ministry, because functional technology systems are critical to creating quality worship experiences for those on-campus and online. Tech team members have an interview with the team leader, and then are trained in their particular job station. Team members are scheduled according to their availability, and can be trained for multiple job stations if they desire to do so.
We are looking for more volunteers to fill the following positions on our tech team: camera, lights, and computer. Even if you don’t have any experience, we will be happy to train you! Click here to get in touch with our tech team leader for more information about joining our team.
